May the most tenacious finger win

Finger On The App 2 is a free mobile game app that enables you to take part in a multiplayer endurance gaming contest wherein you must keep a finger on your screen for as long as possible. Developed by Beast Interactive, LLC, this is the sequel contest to the Finger On The App challenge held last June 30, 2020. The winner will get $100,000—however, they will still be subject to some strict eligibility rules.

How do you battle with your finger on the app?

The first Finger On The App contest was a one-time challenge collaboration between viral stunt app developer MSCHF and popular YouTuber MrBeast. The prize pool for it had been up to $25,000 and anyone who got eliminated could vote on the final number. This second contest that’s now hosted by this own company remains mostly the same in gameplay and rules but there’s no longer a chance to change the prize money.

The start of the contest is on March 20, 2021, with a countdown timer on the contest’s official website to keep an eye on. The goal is still the same: keep your finger on the app for as long as you can. Any disruptions—whether it’s a notification or call from your mobile device or distractions elsewhere—will cut off your touch on the screen and disqualify you. You also have to do screen prompts from the app sometimes.

Fortunately, you can use extra lives to continue. You must play the Battle Mode to earn Cookies and buy extra lives—although you can only have up to 3 lives once the competition begins. Gameplay aside, the eligibility to play is much stricter now as you must be 18 years or older and be physically living in the United States, Hawaii, Alaska, Mexico, and Canada—excluding Quebec. However, just like the first app, this one is just for one-time use.

A fierce online contest

All in all, Finger On The App 2 is an exciting competition if you’re interested in MrBeast’s challenge and happen to be eligible to join. The stakes are higher and since you can’t influence the prize pool anymore, you need to stay alert as the app will sometimes throw sudden challenges at you to verify that your finger is still touching it. Unfortunately, after the contest, this app won’t be of much use.

This software program is potentially malicious or may contain unwanted bundled software.

Why is the software program still available?

Based on our scan system, we have determined that these flags are possibly false positives.

What is a false positive?

It means a benign program is wrongfully flagged as malicious due to an overly broad detection signature or algorithm used in an antivirus program.
